Cellnique Pro Sebum Gel -- Is it safe?

Saw the advertisement of this product on Xiaxue's blog (picture taken from her blog as well). Everything sounded really great and wonderful. It seems like you are going to get a baby-like skin after 2 weeks of using the product. However, I am not fully convinced with the safety of this product.

First of all, is a product of Malaysia.
As we all known, a very common knowledge, Malaysia is a place where you can reach all your goals and have all your dreams come true easily. You just need to do some signing, wiring, transferring.. from one bank account to another..and..everything is possible!! It is not that hard, isn't it? As long as you have enough $$. One can get away with murders and one can get away with death penalty, whatelse is impossible?

Secondly, the name of the brand is Cellnique.
Why?? Why name it Cellnique?? I know we have a well-known cosmetic product line named Clinique, so, WHY?? I hated it when people are trying to fight their rival by using a name that is slightly different. It is fine if they are just selling small things like cookies, detergents, sodas and stuff like that (It is very common in the US for those company to do that). But this is a high end cosmetic products, not those cheap cosmetic products you got it from pasar malam! Why can't you come up with your own name?

Thirdly, the product is pretty new on the market.
Even in the US, there are recalls for new products. I have been here for 5 years and have some basic knowledge about all the cosmetics, drugs and foods regulation in the US. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have a pretty strict regulations on these products. Even so, some drugs, dietary supplements, foods and cosmetic products were being recalled after a few months or years they were on the market. In terms of laws and regulations, they have so much less corruptions compared to Malaysia. Their government also act so much faster than those Malaysian government who most of the time scratches their ass and do nothing all day.

Seriously. When you have an emergency, for instance, robbery or some danger-related emergency, don't even think about seeing the shadow nor hearing the sirens of the police car in the first 30 minutes after you call 999 (i.e. 911 in the US). They are not paid to ensure your safety, they are paid to ensure that they get enough Kopi-money and salary for their household. Nice, isn't it? Feel safe to go back to Malaysia? Absolutely!!

Back to the topic.
One thing that I felt relieve about is that they are able to sell it in the Singapore market. Singapore is not as corrupted as Malaysia.. so..maybe..you can give it a shot. Anyway, I am still very skeptic about the fabulousness and safety of this product. If you want to try it, you can go ahead. As for me, I will probably wait around and see what's going on next. If they are able to sell it in the US market, then, I might give it a shot.
