Holiday!!

Yohooo!!! Holiday!!
Actually, if you ask me what is the date of today, I can't even remember! Hahaha..I am enjoying my life in Virginia . Well, not that enjoy, since my lovely professors trying to make my holiday miserable by giving us projects and also, biochemistry exam! Anyhow, I feel more relax than ever since my major professor already know that I wont be there for the whole week and she wont be expecting me to show up in the office.
KS went to work now. Yeah, he still has to work. Poor him. It is good to be a student sometimes. Hehehe..
I went to National Zoo that Sunday to see pandas. Hahaha <--- That's the reaction CL gave me when I told her that. Oh well, the two pandas in the National Zoo are very very very cute! Their life seems so good cause their daily routine are Eat, and, Sleep! That's what I love to do everyday, if I have a choice. Anyway, they eat a lot of bamboo leaves everyday. The way they eat are so cute. They just sit there, lying their back against the wall or stones, and then use their palm to grab the food around them. Look lazy, aren't they? The zoo also feed them with sweet potato, carrots and some "Panda treats" -- which they said that is high in nutrients. I also saw some picture of newly born pandas. Their sizes are only 1/900 of the size of their mother. So so so TINY!! Like a rat to me. I learned a lot about pandas that day. They eat about 30-40lbs of leaves everyday and their weight are about double mine, around 240 - 300lbs. Hehehe..I am not that skinny anyway. KS got me a panda plush doll. Cute little panda.

Besides all these pandas, I also went shopping, of course. (Woman!) Didn't get much stuff though. All are so expensive! What's wrong with the outlet nowadays??!! I went to Bebe outlet and they sell most of their stuff same price as what they sell it in the retail store! Hey! We are poor and cheap people and that's why we come to outlet!! Could you just sell it cheaper??!! Damn!!
I also went to a Korean grocery store here and get some DURIAN!! Hahaha..my favorite fruit! Miss it soooooo much! Even though it is Thailand durian, it doesn't matter. As long as it satisfy my craving for durian. I also got some UHT milk, which you could hardly find it in US grocery store. It reminds me of my life in Malaysia when I was studying in Subang. I always get a pack of Dutch Lady UHT milk every morning on my way to class. What a wonderful life here..

Ok..need to get back to my project now. Hope I could get it done by today so that I don't have to worry about it later.
Everyone, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! It is OK to gain some weight since you are gonna lose it during final week.

Back from Chicago..

Just came back from Midwest Food Processing Conference in Chicago. It was a fun trip. Miki, CL and I went there by flight(yeah, I know is only 6 hours driving distant, but we are lazy to drive) and stay in Holiday Inn near the airport. It was a wonderful experience because the hotel provide shuttle to most of the place we wanted to go. They send us to Sofitel, where the conference took place, pick us up from Mall and drive us to dinner. It is like we hired a driver! :P
After the conference and shopping(unfortunately I didn't buy anything), we went for Sauna in the hotel. Hehehe..What a luxurious trip especially during school day. We then watched a paid movie, "Princess Diary 2" in the hotel that night.
We enjoyed the time a lot. The weather was so nice and everything was just so perfect! I don't really want to come back. :(

Actually, I don't know what I want to blog tonight. I just don't feel like want to sleep right now.
Counting down..counting down..8 more days..4 more days of classes and 3 more days of TA..Counting down..to Thanksgiving break!!
Virginia, 8 more days..

Happy Belated Birthday to my dear friend,

Ventilating..

Have a talk with an American businessman, J, today. He told me that he is a Bush supporter and he thinks that Bush should be re-elected. He said that he is glad because a lot of people come out to vote for "morality". He said that there are a lot of terrorism out there now and stabilization of the country is the main thing he think the president should be focus on. Hei, dude, if you American never went to interrupt with other country's business and leave people alone, terrorism wouldn't have happen in the first place. J somemore mentioned that a lot of people die. Well, if you guys didn't start up the war, less people would die! Also, your soldiers die due to wars but what happen to those prisoners in Iraq? You guys tortured them! Not only physically, mentally too!! It is even worse than dead.
J also said that B oppose gay marriage. Here's what I summarized from why he thinks gay marriage should be oppose, J said that marriage and family is about love. Hei, no offense, don't you think that marriage between gay people are also based on love? If not, why would they want to get married anyway? You oppose their marriage and do you ever know about the consequences if they don't get married? Those kids that they adopted, can only have one of them as their legal parent. They won't be able to get the social security benefits from the other parents because he/she is not their legal parent. And, if unfortunately that legal parent die, those kids will be orphan. The other parent won't have the rights over those kids and they will be taken away by social services for adoption by other families. Isn't that even worse? Those kids will have to be separated from their love ones due to the fact that their parents are gay and are not legally married. How sad would that be? Did you see or feel the love in this situation?
I am not saying that J is a bad person. He is nice, generous and helpful. Just that he is also another typical American who really needs to get out from the country, explore the world and open up his mind.
Sigh..American really needs to open up their mind a little bit... Somehow, I am glad that I am not brought up in America.

凌晨三點鐘

It's almost 3am. What am I doing here? Wasn't I suppose to be in the bed now? Hahaha..
Well, I like to stay up late once in a while. I know, my immune system doesn't have a chance to work tonight since I am still wide awake now. I think I had passed my bed time. Hmm....hope I can still fall asleep easily later when I feel like going to bed.
I woke up very early this morning. Hehe..I was too tired and I don't even remember I turned off my alarm clock. Luckily that alarm clock has snooze. So, I still make it in time as I promised Miki (just a few minutes late since we went to get breakfast from McD).

Here's what I learned today from doing the consumer panel:

1. Don't tell the consumer is an Informed Consent form that they need to sign because when people heard about Informed Consent, they tend to back off. Use other term instead.

2. Don't start it with Soy, start it with Chicken-flavor soy product. Emphasize the CHICKEN.

3. Smile, ALWAYS! This make you look friendly (even though you might not be).

4. Approach them, don't wait for them to walk up to you, cause, usually Americans won't (Asians, usually they will---it's FREE!).

5. Friends are important. They are always the one who would really offer you help when you need it. So, treasure those friends around you especially your true friends.

6. I am LUCKY! Hahaha...

I am done for all the exams I could possibly have before Thanksgiving break. I am FREE!! So happy to know that. Well, have to work on my project too. Wanted to get it out of my way before I go off for my break.

Exhausted..

It had been a long long long day... Slept at 1am last night, woke up at 6am this morning, trying to do some last minute study for my biochemistry exam. Went to get a cup of caffeine before my 9am class, continue study at 10am, then...go to take the exam! Bammm! Dead!
After being badly attacked by the exam, I still have to go to my boring ethic class and my long long TA duty. Done with my TA duty, then, I voluntarily helped Miki to prepare for her consumer sensory panel tomorrow. Got home at 10.30pm. Exhausted...........
Still need to get up at 6.45am tomorrow to get ready to help Miki with her panel in Fareway. Really need to sleep..but, I am enjoying my time talking to my old friends, Mo Liu, CL and Susie on MSN..Oh, help me! Stop me..hahaha
Nite..everyone..
Have a great weekend!

What a surprise!!

I was pretty upset when he sms me about the election result. I was in class when the result is finalized. It is unbelievable! I really don't understand why Bush win again!
I know that Kerry is not a very strong competitor, but at least, I think American should give him a shot! They have already seen what Bush have done to their country, why would they wanted to vote for him again? I was following the election results the whole night (I did went to bed after 1am) and it was very obvious that all those more educated states, for instance, east coast and west coast, voted for Kerry. However, all those midwest states, where most of the people are farmers or not that well educated, voted for Bush. Does this election results showed us that American need to improve their education systems? I wonder.
What will America be after 4 years? Let me guess:
1. Most American are afraid to go to other countries because everyone hates them.
2. Some American still think that America is the best place to live without knowing how other countries look like.
3. Nobody except those rich people, who eventually become richer because of Bush tax system, can afford the gas price ($10 bucks per gallon? or $100??)
4. ..................brain can't function..........................

God bless America..

(One of my friend is seriously thinking about moving to Canada if Bush is re-elected. Sigh...)

Election

I suppose I have to go to bed now but I just can't get myself away from the computer. Why?? Because, I wanted to know who win the election!

Bush? Kerry?

Well, I don't have the rights to vote, so, I can only pray for people to be smart enough to make the smart decision. Let's pray hard, even though, things seems like not going my way now. :'(
God..

Mengapa?? Mengapa?? Tuhan! Awak mau peperangan lagi kah? Tak cukup lagi? Banyak orang mati kerana dia! Dia lagi?? Buka mata dan hati awak! Tolong dunia ni!! Ah duh!!

Frustrated..ok, sweet dream everyone! Hopefully, tomorrow is really a better day! Damn..
