Have a talk with an American businessman, J, today. He told me that he is a Bush supporter and he thinks that Bush should be re-elected. He said that he is glad because a lot of people come out to vote for "morality". He said that there are a lot of terrorism out there now and stabilization of the country is the main thing he think the president should be focus on. Hei, dude, if you American never went to interrupt with other country's business and leave people alone, terrorism wouldn't have happen in the first place. J somemore mentioned that a lot of people die. Well, if you guys didn't start up the war, less people would die! Also, your soldiers die due to wars but what happen to those prisoners in Iraq? You guys tortured them! Not only physically, mentally too!! It is even worse than dead.
J also said that B oppose gay marriage. Here's what I summarized from why he thinks gay marriage should be oppose, J said that marriage and family is about love. Hei, no offense, don't you think that marriage between gay people are also based on love? If not, why would they want to get married anyway? You oppose their marriage and do you ever know about the consequences if they don't get married? Those kids that they adopted, can only have one of them as their legal parent. They won't be able to get the social security benefits from the other parents because he/she is not their legal parent. And, if unfortunately that legal parent die, those kids will be orphan. The other parent won't have the rights over those kids and they will be taken away by social services for adoption by other families. Isn't that even worse? Those kids will have to be separated from their love ones due to the fact that their parents are gay and are not legally married. How sad would that be? Did you see or feel the love in this situation?
I am not saying that J is a bad person. He is nice, generous and helpful. Just that he is also another typical American who really needs to get out from the country, explore the world and open up his mind.
Sigh..American really needs to open up their mind a little bit... Somehow, I am glad that I am not brought up in America.
